Welcome to Eraldo R. Fernandes' homepage

Welcome to my Web homepage! I am a Computer Science doctoral student at the Algorithm Engineering Research Group (LEARN) of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), Brazil. My advisor is the Prof. Ruy L. Milidiú. We are working on Machine Learning methods, mainly applied to Natural Language Processing.

I received a Master's degree on Algorithms, Parallelism, and Optimization from the Departamento de Informática of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in 2005, advised by Prof. Celso C. Ribeiro. In 2003, I graduated from Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul on Computer Science.

I am also a professor at Instituto Federal de Goiás (IFG). However, I am temporally discharged from IFG to attend the doctoral program.
